Virtual Dementia Tour - Saturday March 22nd

Obviously those with dementia cannot really explain what they are going through with complete accuracy. It is difficult to put into words, as they have word finding difficulty.
Through the Virtual Dementia Tour, you can experience a hands-on experience.

At Sacred Heart Senior Living we believe the more we educate each other and share in learning experiences, the better equipped we are to provide the highest quality of care for those entrusted to us.

We know that caring for those with Alzheimer’s disease or other dementias* requires empathy, patience, special care and a kind heart. But how can we be empathetic when we’ve never experienced dementia?

By walking in their shoes, we can develop a sense of how we might feel and what might make us more comfortable if we were the ones with dementia.

The Virtual Dementia Tour® assists in increasing sensitivity by providing a hands-on experience that will help us better understand the issues facing both the caregiver and the person living with Alzheimer’s disease or other dementias.
