120-Unit Apartment Complex Proposed In Lansdale, Report Says

Do you agree with this proposal? Project organizers say the development would help to revitalize and clean-up the area.

A 120-unit apartment complex has been proposed in Lansdale at Second Street and Cannon Avenue, according to a story in The Reporter.

Project organizers say the development would help to revitalize and clean-up the area, the report states.

The two-building, four-story complex would have rents in the range of $1,275 to $1,450 for one-bedroom and $1,600 to $1,700 for two-bedrooms, according to the report.

Planning commission chairman Sam Carlo, the organizer behind the proposal, said that the complex would be aimed at “millennial professionals” who want access to a downtown and commuter rail, the report states.

Carlo added that he believed building an apartment complex would create less traffic in the area than many other proposed projects like a bank, office building, or convenience store, the report states.
