2 Sumneytown Pike Bridges To Be Shut Down For Months
A pair of bridges on Sumneytown Pike will be replaced, leading to detours for the next several months.

A pair of bridges on Sumneytown Pike will be replaced, leading to detours for the next several months.
The closures of the briges in Upper Salford and Marlborough will begin on Tuesday, May 28 and will continue through the late fall months.
The bridges run over Unami Creek and Ridge Valley Creek.

Sumneytown Pike will be shut down between Thompson Road and Gerryville Pike, while Long Mill Road will be closed between Moyer Road and Bergey Road.
A third Sumneytown Pike bridge, over the East Branch of Perkiomen Creek, will be reduced to a single lane from May 28 through the spring of 2020. During that time, the restriction on Sumneytown will bein place from Long Mill Road to Shady Lane.

Residents will have local access up to the construction site.
The projects are being supported with 80 percent federal funds and 20 percent state funds, PennDOT said.
