Antibody Testing Now Available At Upper Gwynedd Tower Urgent Care

You can now get an antibody test at numerous Tower Health Urgent Care locations, including in Upper Gwynedd.

UPPER GWYNEDD, PA — Patients can now get a coronavirus antibody test at numerous Tower Health Urgent Care locations, including their "Lansdale" location, which is actually in Upper Gwynedd. They're the latest local healthcare provider to provide the test, with numerous Patient First locations in Montgomery County, including Montgomeryville, also offering the service.

Tower Urgent Cares are open from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m., every day. The Upper Gwynedd location is on 1551 S. Valley Forge Road.

The antibody test is used to determine if someone previously had COVID-19 and not to diagnose an active infection. Antibodies may give full or partial immunity to the coronavirus.

"The antibody test results will provide you and your loved ones with the peace of mind knowing if you were infected with COVID-19, regardless of whether you developed the typical signs and symptoms," Charles Barbera, Tower Health's vice president of Pre-Hospital and Unscheduled Care.

Patients must qualify for the test by either having a confirmed case of coronavirus, previously experiencing symptoms, or being exposed to the virus more than two weeks prior.

All patients should obtain a lab order from their physician.

No appointment is neccessary.

The testing is also now available at numerous other Tower Urgent Care locations, including several in Montgomery County.
