15 Years Later, Colmar Man Charged With Child Rape: Lansdale PD

The man repeatedly sexually assaulted the child, who was in his care, over the course of several years, police said.

LANSDALE, PA — A Colmar man has been arrested for repeatedly raping a young girl that was in his care, the Lansdale Police Department announced.

Brian Marchini, 46, faces numerous counts of rape of a child, involuntary deviate sexual intercourse with a child, and associated crimes.

An investigation into Marchini began back on Nov. 2, 2020, when police said they received information implicating him.

A two-month investigation revealed that Marchini had been a caretaker for the child when the crimes occurred, police said.

He repeatedly raped over the course of several years, from 2000 to 2005, while she was a minor, according to authorities.

Marchini was arrested on Jan. 7 and arraigned in District Court in Lansdale. Bail was set at $250,000, which he was unable to post, and he was booked at Montgomery County Correctional Facility.

A preliminary hearing is set for Jan. 13.
