Former North Wales Man, Lansdale Catholic Grad, Passes At Age 55
Kenneth Schlegel loved traveling, sports cars, health and fitness, shopping, and his family.

NORTH WALES, PA — Kenneth Schlegel, 55, of Mt. Gretna, PA and formerly of North Wales, passed away Friday August 24, 2018. He was the devoted partner for 21 years to Larry F. Roush.

Born June 17, 1963 in Lansdale, he was son of Herbert and Rosemary (Burns) Schlegel of North Wales.
Ken was a 1981 graduate of Lansdale Catholic High School. He had previously worked for North Penn Water Authority and lastly was employed as a Customer Service representative at the Pennsylvania Higher Education Assistance Agency in Mechanicsburg, PA.

Ken enjoyed a wide variety of interests including health and fitness by regular attendance at the gym, having a passion for modern sports cars, shopping, and enjoyed traveling with family and friends to destinations around America and abroad.
He will be remembered as a wonderful uncle and will be deeply missed by his many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Along with his partner, parents and extended family, he is survived by three brothers, Michael, husband of Kathleen, of Stephens City, VA, Mark, husband of Amy, of Lansdale and Brian, husband of Sandra, of Geneva, IL.
Relatives and friends will be received from 6:00 p.m.- 8:00 p.m. Tuesday, August 28, 2018 at Huff & Lakjer Funeral Home, 701 Derstine Ave., Lansdale., PA 19446.
A second viewing will be from 10 to 10:45 a.m. Wednesday, August 29, 2018 at St. Rose of Lima Church, 424 South Main St., North Wales followed by a Funeral Mass at 11:00 a.m.
Private graveside services will be on Thursday, August 30, 2018 in Shamokin Dam, PA. Arrangements are entrusted to Huff & Lakjer Funeral Home, 701 Derstine Ave., Lansdale, PA 19446. www.huffandlakjer.com
