Happy Mother’s Day From Tricia Stevens
"You will never be forgotten for the memories we hold and the things that you taught us will stay with us forever."

In celebration of Mother's Day on Sunday May 13, we asked Patch readers to write a letter to their mother and let us deliver it. This is Tricia Stevens' letter to her mom:
Dear Mom,
You only left us just a short time ago on March 1. Some days it feels as if you’re not even gone and other days it feels as if you've been gone for an eternity. The years just flew by and you were always there for us.
I wouldn’t be the person I am today if it wasn't for you. You were the kind of mom that every child dreams of having. You were courageous, living with your scoliosis and having numerous spinal fusions, and never once did you complain.
You were loving, kind and caring, always putting others before you. You were strong-willed and taught us to reach for our goals. You were smart and savvy, and taught us how to run a household, hold a job and raise our kids. You were so talented and gifted in painting, drawing, quilting, scherenschnitte (paper cutting), crocheting, knitting, sewing, needle-pointing, making fabulous cakes, silk-flower arranging and so many more things! You were amazing!
You are missed so much each and every minute of every single day! But you will never be forgotten for the memories we hold and the things that you taught us will stay with us forever! Happy Mother's Day in Heaven!
Love you forever and always,
Tricia Anne
