Heavy Congestion On I-476 After Accident Near Lansdale
Breaking: Lanes have reopened on the Northeast Extension after an accident Friday, but heavy delays remain heading into rush hour.

LANSDALE, PA — An accident on I-476 shut down all southbound traffic for nearly an hour between Lansdale and Quakertown on Friday.
The incident occurred just after 3 p.m. near mile marker 36, in the construction zone.
Multiple tow trucks responded to the scene to clear the accident, and all lanes were reopened before 4 p.m.

However, heavy traffic and delays remained in the area, and will likely intensify as rush hour approaches.
Motorists should plan for delays, and consider alternate routes if possible.

The crash occurred just two miles away from another recent major accident, at mile marker 38.6, on Tuesday.
