Historic Hatfield Firehouse Sees New Life As Fireplace Showroom
The building features an 8,600 square foot fireplace. "The stories it could tell are endless, and we want to relive each one."

HATFIELD, PA — A historic local building is seeing new life thanks a local businessman who wants help preserve a community icon.
Salter's Fireplace and Outdoor Living has spent the past year renovating the old Hatfield firehouse, which dates to 1924.
The building was renovated over the past year, and opened to the public on Jan. 4. Owners hope to hold a grand opening in May.

"The stories it could tell are endless, and we want to relive each one," said John Holleger, a marketing specialist for Salter's.
The building, located on 56 E. Broad Street, features an 8,600 square foot fireplace, and has nearly 100 fireplaces on display. In addition, there are dozens of grills and patio furniture sets.

In the near future, they plan on featuring spas and a rooftop decks with more outdoor-oriented products.
