As a fiscal conservative, I am left wondering how fiscal responsibility and multiple government salaries are compatible. I began my career in Federal Law Enforcement and I respect those who serve in the military reserves while holding civil servant positions. However, there should be a limit, especially for elected officials.
My colleague works in financial oversight and monitors compliance with ethical and legal standards. She is also concerned with an elected official partaking of so many government-funded positions without disclosure to voters.

Kate Harper’s combined experience would be beneficial to many municipalities, but five government jobs is just too many. Whose interest is she serving, the local taxpayers, or herself? Without a full accounting, we are left with inadequate information to make a determination.
We would like a representative concerned about the voters she represents rather than an individual seeking lucrative contracts for personal gain at taxpayer expense. This November we believe the 61st district can do better than Kate Harper. We urge the voters to consider new representation.
