HATFIELD, PA — Police are searching for a man they said left one employee injured after a robbery at knifepoint in Hatfield this week.

The incident occurred in the early morning hours of Monday, June 21, at around 3:37 a.m., on the 1600 block of North Broad Street.

The suspect, a white male with a surgical mask and black hooded sweatshirt, entered a convenience store wielding a knife, police said.

The man then grabbed the cashier and forced him to open the cash register, according to authorities.

The suspect cut the cashier's hand with the knife during the altercation, police said. The man fled the scene.

The cashier was treated for injuries at Abington Lansdale Hospital Jefferson Health and was released.
