Lane Closures Set On Allentown Road In Towamencin

TOWAMENCIN, PA — Lanes will be closed on a portion of Allentown Road over the next few weeks as construction work gets underway.

The closures will be in place on weekdays from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. between Keeler Road and Troxel Road.

Crews are working on excavation operations to restore and reconstruction stormwater management sites, as well as wetland mitigation and planting sites around the area.

The work will help minimize the impact of flooding in the future, while also protecting the local environment, PennDOT said.

The work began on Monday, Oct. 28 and is planned to continue through Nov. 8.

Motorists should plan for delays in the area.
