Lansdale Food Pantry Planning Holiday Events to Help Those in Need

Manna on Main Street planning food drives, Thanksgiving dinner and an adopt-a-child gift program this holiday season.

Manna on Main Street has a series of events planned to help local residents in need this holiday season.

Manna on Main Street, a food pantry, soup kitchen and emergency financial aid provider serving the North Penn region, will begin the effort to help others this holiday season with a Scouting for Food Drive this Saturday.

Other holiday charitable efforts include a Thanksgiving Holiday Meal and an Adopt-a-Child gift program.

Here’s a look at the upcoming events and how you can help:

Scouting for Food, Nov. 15
Leave canned or boxed food items on your porch for Boy Scout pick up this Saturday morning, Nov. 15. Food goods benefit Philabundance and local pantries, including Manna on Main Street. This is one of Manna’s largest food drives to help the hungry.

Holiday Help: Thanksgiving Food Basket Distribution, Nov. 24

Manna will be distributing Thanksgiving food baskets to families who shop in their food pantry. If you would like to contribute to these holiday food baskets, consider donating the following: assorted canned vegetables, fresh produce, boxed potatoes, cranberry sauce and gravy. Donations should be dropped off by Friday, Nov. 21.

It’s Turkey Time: Thanksgiving Holiday Meal, Nov. 27
Manna will host a Thanksgiving meal from 12 to 2 pm at St. John’s United Church of Christ, 500 W. Main Street, Lansdale. All those needing company or food on this holiday are welcome. RSVP to Manna in advance by calling 215-855-5454.
