Lansdale Postpones Start Of Concerts In The Park
"The borough needs to take a little extra time to consider how we will safely provide top quality entertainment," officials said.
LANSDALE, PA — The start of the White's Road Park Concert series in Lansdale has been postponed over coronavirus-related concerns, officials said Tuesday. The popular event had been scheduled to start up on July 7.
The borough said that they made the decision after "further investigation" into regulations for outdoor concerts in the green phase, as well as further feedback from scheduled performers and staff.
"In a non-COVID year these concerts draw impressive crowds and with more and more surrounding community events being cancelled, the borough needs to take a little extra time to consider how we will safely provide top quality entertainment to not only our Borough residents, but additional visitors as well," the borough said in a statement.

Montgomery County moved into the green phase of coronavirus mitigation last Friday, June 26, which allows for larger gatherings and events like concerts with proper precautions in place. However, cases have risen in the county and region in the past week or so, after several weeks of steadily dropping.
Specific dates for the rescheduled series have not yet been announced, but the borough did say they would be extending the end date later into September.
