Liberty Bell Trail Now Nearly Completed In Lansdale

Another major stretch of trail on the Montgomery County area circuit is nearly complete.

LANSDALE, PA — Another major trail on the Montgomery County area circuit is nearly complete.

The Liberty Bell Trail, one of the greater Lansdale area's outdoor recreation attractions, now covers nearly the entire borough, officials said in an announcement this week.

The project has been planned for years and has already won awards for its design, including being named the Delaware Valley 2019 Project of the Year.

The latest section of the trail was dug through Stony Creek Park, a stretch which organizers a called "small yet significant" piece of the project.

"As part of the public trail network, the trail facilitates non-vehicular transportation in and around the Borough and Montgomery County for commerce, commuting and recreation," the borough shared in their recent announcement.

The 10-foot wide, multi-use path goes through the heart of downtown and runs for about a mile across the borough, with connections to other trails that link to the larger, in-development network.
