Man Airlifted After Towamencin Crash Wednesday
The intersection was closed for hours after the incident.
TOWAMENCIN, PA — One person was evacuated by medical helicopter after a crash in Towamencin on Wednesday afternoon.
The incident occurred just before 5 p.m. on June 2 at the intersection of Sumneytown Pike and Wambold Road.
A 2018 Ford F-150 pick up truck and a 2010 Acura TL were involved in the crash, police said. Each vehicle had only one occupant, a male driver in each.

The driver of the pick up was taken by Jeff Stat 2 medieval helicopter to Lehigh Valley Hospital, and is now in stable condition. The driver of the Acura was not seriously injured.
The intersection was closed to traffic until around 7:30 p.m. as crash investigators surveyed the scene. The investigation remains ongoing.
