Montgomery Twp., Lansdale Named Among 'Best Suburbs To Raise A Family' In PA
Montgomery Township ranks 31st in the state. Do you agree?

The township recently ranked 31st in Pennsylvania in a “Best Suburbs to Raise a Family” list, compiled by information services provider Niche.com.
Towamencin was 55th, North Wales was 62nd, and Lansdale was ranked 76th.

“Montgomery Township is a suburb in Pennsylvania with 25,109 residents,” the study states. “It has very high home values, very high rent costs, and low unemployment levels. Its citizens generally have high education levels and very high income levels.”
The township was given an overall grade of “A+.”

The top suburb in Pennsylvania on the list was nearby Narberth.
New York’s Scarsdale, in Westchester County, took top honors nationally. Narberth was second in the nation.
The list analyzed the following factors for each suburb:
- Crime and safety
- Education
- Access to libraries
- Community
- Housing
- Access to day cares
- Access to grocery stores
- Percentage of residents 35-44 years old
- Percentage of residents 9-years-old and under
