New Medical Marijuana Dispensary Coming To Montgomeryville

The new clinical research-affiliated dispensary will open this month in Montgomeryville.

MONTGOMERYVILLE, PA — A new medical marijuana dispensary will open up its doors this month to the public in Montgomeryville.

Ethos Cannabis will be located on 921 Bethlehem Pike, near the Montgomeryville Mall.

Ethos, which also has locations in Allentown and on Locust Street in Philadelphia, is associated with the Sidney Kimmel Medical College at Thomas Jefferson University. Patients of the dispensary will have the opportunity to enroll in various research projects in conjunction with the school, Ethos said.

To help facilitate a smooth experience and social distancing, the store will offer online ordering for in-store pickup, as well as self-service kiosks inside the store.

A spokesperson for the company added that coronavirus health protocols will be "strictly enforced" inside the new store, with a maximum capacity of 28 individuals at any given time, and masks required. Tape markers will be placed on the floor to help facilitate social distancing.

Patients must have an active medical marijuana card in order to enter the dispensary.

Ahead of their grand opening, Ethos is having a pre-opening informational event outside their store, on Saturday, Aug. 22 at 11 a.m. Representatives from Thomas Jefferson, as well as growers and processors from Cresco and GTI, will be on hand. An exact opening date for the store will be announced shortly, but it's expected to be in the month of August.
