North Penn Boys Win State Water Polo Title
The North Penn boys water polo team has won the 2017 state championship.
LANSDALE, PA — The North Penn boys water polo team has won the 2017 state championships.
The team defeated Wilson Bulldogs, 10-6, to capture the Pennsylvania State Water Polo League crown last week.
Entering the fourth quarter down 6-6, the team rallied in the closing moments to secure the championship.

According to the Knight Crier, the Knights had to battle through a very tough semifinal match against North Allegheny.
"A lot of the guys got punched and kicked in some very undesirable places,” senior Aidan Daly told the Knight Crier. “Andrew [Dunigan] broke his finger that game and played the rest of the tournament with it broken. That’s true grit."

In addition, North Penn Coach Jason Grubb was named the 2017 coach of the year.
North Penn had finished second in the state three years in a row coming into the 2017 matchup.
