North Penn Names New Assistant Superintendent

Congratulations to D'Ana Waters, an employee of North Penn for more than 25 years.

LANSDALE, PA — There was a notable piece of administrative news to come out of the latest North Penn Board of School Directors meeting, as the district has announced a new assistant superintendent.

D'Ana Waters, who has served as Director of Curriculum and Equity since July 2019, will fill the post vacated by Jenna Rufo, who resigned last fall.

“I feel honored and excited to take on this role and look forward to serving our students, staff, and community in a greater capacity,” Waters said in a statement. "I am grateful to Dr. Dietrich and our School Board Directors for this opportunity and appreciate the confidence they have in me. I love working in North Penn and am proud to be starting yet another journey here.”

Waters joins Todd Bauer as the second assistant superintendent in the district.

Superintendent Curt Dietrich said the two positions were necessary to address both instructional needs, and other needs the district has which don't quite fit in that category.

She also served as assistant principal at Penndale and principal at Hatfield Elementary, beginning the latter post in 2008.
