North Penn Purchases 5 Propane-Fueled School Buses

The school district is hopeful the $142K grant-funded purchase will help them reduce both cost and emissions.

LANSDALE, PA — North Penn has taken another step in greening its operations.

The school district has purchased five propane-fueled school buses, which they say will cut both costs and emissions. The total number of propane buses in North Penn's fleet is now up to 31.

“By reducing the overall greenhouse emissions of our fleet, students, staff and the entire North Penn community will reap the environmental benefits," Nick Kraynak, North Penn's Coordinator of Transportation, said in a statement.
