North Penn Teacher Honored By Phillies During Monday's Game

Well done to one of North Penn's finest, Hatfield Elementary's Anthony Landy.

LANSDALE, PA — One of the North Penn School District's finest teachers was recognized during a special ceremony during the Phillies game at Citizens Bank Park on Monday night.

Anthony Landy, who teaches at Hatfield Elementary School, was selected as one of the Phillies 10 "All-Star Teachers."

"We are so proud to have one of our own selected for this prestigious honor," North Penn said in acknowledging the award.

The honor is given yearly to 10 teachers from around the greater Philadelphia area. Teachers are nominated by parents, other teachers, current students, and former students."

Specifically, to nominate a teacher, an original essay, 500 words or less must be written about the teacher, noting how the teacher "had a positive impact on your life" on the life of a child.

Winning teachers receive two free Phillies tickets, as well the opportunity to be honored on the field.
