Old Forty Foot Road To Be Shut Down For Bridge Reconstruction

TOWAMENCIN TOWNSHIP, PA — Old Forty Foot Road will be shut down for a month as bridge reconstruction work gets underway.

The closure will be in place from April 30 through May 28 between Henrik Road and Kober Road in Towamencin, PennDOT officials said.

The bridge over Skippack Creek is in need of repairs.

Motorists will be detoured to Sumneytown Pike, Bustard Road, and Skippack Pike.

Residents will have local access up to the bridge.

Motorists should allow for delays and plan for extra time when traveling in the area.
