Pennbrook Area Road Closures Begin In Lansdale
Road construction in the Pennbrook area is underway, and is expected to continue through the summer.

LANSDALE, PA — Road construction in the Pennbrook area is underway, and is expected to continue through the summer.
The work is aimed at improving the sewer and water systems. The borough is working alongside the North Penn Water Authority on the project.
East Hancock Street will be shut down between Church Road and North Wales Road beginning this week and throughout the next few months. Drivers will be detrouted to Main Street via Walnut Street and Church Road.

Work will take place between 7 a.m. and 3 p.m. The road will be reopened at the end of each workday. Residents should remove their vehicles from the street to allow construction to take place.
"As we've said before and will continue to say, we are aware that this is an inconvenience but the end product of improved underground infrastructure and well maintained roads is worth the investment," the borough said in a statement announcing the work.

Public meetings are scheduled this Thursday, July 18 at borough hall.
The new water main will replace older six-inch and eight-inch mains that are prone to breakage. Officials hope the new main will improve system reliability, water quality, and fire protection.
