Residents are urged to keep their dogs leashed after an ill raccoon was spotted near Penllyn Woods.
The sighting was first reported at around 3:50 p.m. Tuesday near the stepping stones at Plymouth Road, the Wissahickon Valley Watershed Alliance said.
Local authorities have been notified and are investigating the situation.
