Rittenhouse Road Bridge Struck, Shut Down In Towamencin

TOWAMENCIN, PA — The Rittenhouse Road bridge was struck and damaged by a vehicle early Friday morning, leading to its closure, police said.

It will be shut down until structural engineers can inspect it and evaluate its safety.

It's not the first time the bridge has been hit recently. Just in July, an accident caused notable damage, leading to a shutdown.

The bridge is blocked by signs. Police urge motorists to obey all posted signage as the area could be unsafe.
