Route 309 Lanes To Be Shut Down Next Week In Hatfield Area

HATFIELD, PA — Lane restrictions will be in place on Route 309 in the Hatfield area next week as rehabilitation of the roadway continues, officials said. The $53.5 million project aims to improve a 9.1 mile stretch of the road in both Montgomery and Bucks counties.
The road will have restrictions both northbound and southbound between Unionville Pike and Reliance Road in Hatfield and Hilltown townships, according to PennDOT.
Crews will relocate barriers, restripe the highway, rehabilitate the pavement, improve shoulders, work on concrete ditches, and rehabilitate bridges along the way.

The restrictions will begin at 9 a.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 8.
