PENNSYLVANIA — SEPTA and Amtrak will be operating on a limited schedule moving forward as they respond to and work to address the ongoing coronavirus outbreak.

SEPTA will be using their severe weather plan for all regional rail service beginning Tuesday, March 17.

That means that all lines will run on the Saturday schedule. For most lines, it's around 2o to 22 trains a day, roughly every hour from around 8 a.m. to around 9 p.m., with a few extra trains during the early rush hour commute.

A regular schedule will continue for all SEPTA buses, trolleys, and subways.

Meanwhile, Amtrak has announced a 40 percent reduction in their typical weekday schedules on the Northeast Corridor. Keystone Service will be suspended beginning Wednesday, March 18, and all Pennsylvanian line trains will suspended beginning Thursday, March 19.
