Man Charged In Road Rage Killing Of PA Mom Of 6
A weeklong manhunt has ended in the arrest of a man who police said shot and killed a mother of six on a highway.

PENNSYLVANIA — The hunt for the man who police said shot and killed a Pennsylvania woman in a road rage incident ended in an arrest in the early morning hours Thursday. Dejywan R. Floyd, 29, was arrested in an apartment building in North Carolina and charged with first-degree murder, police said.
The search for Floyd had been ongoing since last March 25, when police said he pulled alongside a vehicle with Pennsylvania woman Julie Eberly, 47, riding in the passenger side. He fired several gunshots into the passenger side door, striking and killing the Manheim, Lancaster County, resident and mother of six, according to authorities.

Sheriff Burnis Wilkins said dozens of locals businesses and residents in North Carolina cooperated with law enforcement and were "critical" in tracking Floyd's path both before and after the shooting. He was ultimately found inside the Parkview Apartments in Lumberton.
"Regardless of the circumstances, no one deserved to be murdered while traveling our nation's highways," Wilkins said. "I am proud of the investigative work put forth by the law enforcement agencies that came together as one to bring this case to a successful conclusion."

Police said they are continuing to investigate the incident.
Floyd was taken to the Robeson County Detention Center. No bail is available due to the murder charge.
A preliminary hearing was held Thursday morning.
