A sick raccoon spotted earlier in the week at Penllyn Woods has been confirmed as rabid.

A sick raccoon spotted earlier in the week at Penllyn Woods has been confirmed as rabid.
The Wissahickon Valley Watershed Alliance said that the animal was removed by the Pennsylvania Game Commission and then tested at the state laboratory.
The sighting was first reported at around 3:50 p.m. Tuesday near the stepping stones at Plymouth Road, officials said.
