Why are you seeking elective office?
For the same reason I ran in the first place: for too long, career politicians throughout Pennsylvania have ignored their constituents and catered to special interests. In the meantime, I have spent my entire career giving voice to the voiceless and fighting to protect those most harmed by Harrisburg’s apathy. That's why it's so important for the work of bringing more and more disenfranchised people into the process to continue.
The single most pressing issue facing our state/nation is _______, and this is what I intend to do about it.
Access to high quality, affordable health care continues to be the most pressing issue not only for many Pennsylvanians but a significant amount of Americans. Whether you have healthcare through your employer, through Medicare/Medicaid, or through the Affordable Care Act, it is paramount that current legislation not only remain enacted but be expanded upon. I believe that legislators in Harrisburg need to protect seniors' access to Medicare, defend a woman's right to reproductive healthcare, and prepare for the possibility that the Supreme Court might overturn parts or all of the Affordable Care Act which would threaten coverage for one and a half million Pennsylvanians. This will be a major test for the Commonwealth going forward and I intend on facing it head on.
What are the critical differences between you and the other candidates seeking this post?
No candidate is more singularly driven than myself when it comes to advocating for those who cannot advocate for themselves. Whether it be children, incapacitated patients, seniors, the environment, or animals, it is my mission in life to make sure that no one is forgotten just because they do not have a political presence in Harrisburg.
