Sumneytown Pike Bridge Closures Postponed
A series of bridges on Sumneytown Pike were scheduled to be shut down for construction beginning this week, but it's been postponed.

A series of bridges on Sumneytown Pike were scheduled to be shut down for construction beginning this week, but the work has been postponed, officials announced Wednesday.
Three bridges over Unami Creek, Ridge Valley Creek, and the East Branch of Perkiomen Creek are being replaced.
The work will now begin on Monday, June 3 and will continue through the spring of 2020.

Restrictions will be in place in the following areas:
- Route 63 (Sumneytown Pike) between Long Mill Road and Shady Lane will be reduced to a single lane
- Long Mill Road will be closed between Moyer Road and Bergey Road
- Intersection of Perkiomenville Road and Old Skippack Road in Upper Salford will be closed
- Intersection of Route 29 (Gravel Pike), Crusher Road and Upper Ridge Road in Marlborough will be closed
Sumneytown Pike will be completely shut down from May through November as new bridges over Unami and Ridge Valley creeks are put in simultaneously. The bridge over the East Branch will remain open during construction as it is put in place in stages.
