Throat Slashed, Hatfield Woman Flown To Hospital

Hatfield Police and local emergency medical service crews were called to the 300 block of Wheatfield Circle around 1 a.m. early Sunday morning, according to the Montgomery County Department of Public Safety's Computer-Aided Dispatch System.
Police responded to find a woman, 33, whose name has not yet been released, with her throat slashed. PennStar 1, a medical helicopter, was called in to transport the victim to a Philadelphia hospital. Her condition was not known as of reports and calls to the police around 1 p.m. Sunday.

Around 1:45 a.m., according to multiple scanner reports, police were in search of a black man, around 200 pounds who fled the area in a black Honda with Pennsylvania tags. No update on the alleged criminal was available as of calls around 1 p.m. to Hatfield Police.
Police told PhillyBurbs that an earlier report that the man had also taken a 9-year-old child were found to be untrue.

Scanner reports at 1:52 a.m. noted that a cell phone associated with this incident was last detected by Verizon a few minutes prior near the 2200 block Valley Road, in Lower Moreland Township. Police had not yet confirmed the relationship the phone had to the case in any way.
