Video Captures Methacton Lax Coach Punching North Penn Player
School officials have responded after a Montgomery County volunteer lacrosse coach lost his cool during a recent game.
MONTGOMERY COUNTY, PA — School officials in Montgomery County are responding after a video circulating online shows a Methacton lacrosse coach punching a North Penn player during a recent match between the two schools.
The incident occurred during a game last Friday, May 15, at North Penn. Around an hour and 21 minutes into the video, which is included below, a North Penn player checks a Methacton athlete out of bounds. The coach, who officials said is a volunteer assistant, seems to take issue with the roughness of the play, and runs up to the player, shoving and punching at his helmet.
Players from both sides quickly swarm the area as referees and coaches try to bring the situation under control.

"Please know that the matter has been addressed," he wrote. "The behavior of the Methacton volunteer coach in no manner reflects the values of competitive sportsmanship nor the values of our Methacton School District community."
