Watch: Heavy Flooding On Towamencin, Upper Gwynedd Roads
Continuing rain is leading to deteriorating conditions on local roads, police said. Stay home if possible.
TOWAMENCIN TOWNSHIP, PA — Roadways around the Towamencin and Upper Gwynedd area have been hit hard by rainfall Tuesday morning, and conditions are deteriorating as Tropical Storm Isais progresses, police said.
Residents have been urged to stay off the roads if at all possible.
In Towamencin Township, the Rittenhouse Road bridge is nearly completely covered by flood waters.

As of 11:20 a.m., PECO reported more than 66,000 customers are already without power, including more than 10,000 in Montgomery County. Thousands of those outages were in Hatfield and Upper Gwynedd.

Nearby, North Wales Road has been shut down for a stretch in East Norriton, where police are also reporting that manhole covers have been removed by the storm.
A tornado watch is in effect through 4 p.m. in Montgomery County, with a flash flood watch in place through midnight.
