422 West Near Limerick To Be Reduced To One Lane Next Week
A five mile stretch of Route 422 will be reduced to a single lane as construction gets underway next week.
LIMERICK, PA — Construction will lead to the restriction of a five-mile stretch of Route 422 next week.
The work will reduce traffic to a single lane on 422 westbound from Royersford to Sanatoga, PennDOT said.
Crews will complete roadway patching and bridge repair as part of a larger project to repave the roadway and repair seven structures along its length. It will include work in both Limerick and Lower Pottsgrove townships.

The right lane westbound will be closed from Tuesday, May 26 to Friday, May 29, from 7 p.m. to 2 p.m. daily between Township Line Road and Airport Road.
Then from 7 p.m. on Friday, May 29 to 2 p.m. on Monday, June 1, a continuous right lane closure will be in place on the same stretch.

Motorists should plan for delays in the area. PennDOT said that all construction work will comply with CDC and Pennsylvania Department of Health safety guidelines related to coronavirus, including social distancing, mask wearing, and advanced cleaning protocols.
