Community Gets a Chance to Celebrate State Champs
The girls basketball team got another round of accolades, this time from their parents, friends, teachers, coaches and members of the community.
A community dinner and celebration took place at the Spring-Ford Area High School gym last night to once again honor the amazing season that the girls basketball team just completed.Â
Principal Pat Nugent emceed the evening, and there were speeches from school board president Tom DiBello, athletic director Mickey McDaniel, coach Jeff Rinehimer and cheerleading coach Kaycee Wilkie.Â
The team got a chance to show off all their trophies and commendations. Each member was awarded a plaque and a certificate. Girls on the varsity team were awarded their letters.

Additionally, the five departing seniors were given a special plaque to commemorate the season.
Seniors Courtney Hinnett and Sarah Payonk will be continuing their basketball careers at Millersville and Scranton Universities, respectively, and senior Brittany Moore is still deciding where she wants to attend. Â
