Fugitive For Months, Montco Child Porn Suspect Turns Self In: DA
A Montgomery County man accused of possessing thousands of child porn images has turned himself in, the DA said.

SCHWENKSVILLE, PA — A Montgomery County man accused of possessing thousands of child porn images turned himself in over the weekend, the District Attorney's Office announced Tuesday.
William McGullan, 29, of Schwenksville, has been wanted since Sept. 12, 2019, but had evaded capture up to this point, according to authorities. He turned himself in to troopers at the Pennsylvania State Police barracks in Skippack on Saturday.
An investigation into McGullam began back in June 2019 when authorities received a cyber tip from a cell phone app, which suspected one of its users had just uploaded child porn videos, according to authorities.

Authorities traced the phone first to the "Pottstown area," then narrowed it down to Krause Road in Schwenksville, and a warrant for McGullam was issued, the DA said.
A warrant was served at McGullam's home in Aug. 8, 2019, and investigators found more than a thousand images of child pornography on his electronic devices.

In the ensuing months, "multiple avenues" were utilized by investigators to track McGullam down, but to no avail.
He was arraigned by video, and bail was set at $150,000 cash. He was not able to post bail, and was taken to Montgomery County Correctional Facility.
A preliminary hearing is set for April 2.
