Homes Damaged In Multi-Vehicle Accident In Spring City Wednesday

An accident involving a box truck caused damage to two homes in Spring City early Wednesday, authorities said.

SPRING CITY, PA — A box truck and two other vehicles were involved in a crash in Spring City early Wednesday morning that caused damage to local homes and led to a brief road closure.

The incident occurred after 6 a.m. on the 500 block of New Street, the Liberty Fire Co. said.

A box truck lost control and crashed into two homes on the block, causing significant damage to the front porch areas.

Two other vehicles were involved in the accident, but no one was injured, authorities said.

New Street was shut down for a time between Schuylkill Road and Wall Street as first responders arrived on the scene.

Belfor Property Restoration was called to help clean up the damage and make sure the homes were safe. Tow trucks from Tim's arrived to take away the vehicles.

Authorities thanked school bus drivers who worked with fire police to ensure students were safely picked up nearby.

Royersford Fire Department assisted Liberty on the scene. Crews cleared the scene by around 8:30 a.m.
