Jaguars AAU 6th Grade Boys Basketball Wins Ocean City Tournament
The team played in the Beachbound I Classic Championship on April 27 and 28.

The Jaguars AAU 6th grade boys basketball team won the Beachbound I Classic Championship in Ocean City, MD on April 27 and 28.  In the championship game, the Jaguars defeated the 6th Man Warriors from Washington, DC by a score of 33-26 in a defensive battle.
"With 84 teams in the tournament, some of the finest talent on the East Coast is showcased," commented Walt Stevenson, Executive Director of the Tournament. Â "Congratulations to our champions, the Jaguars from Pennsylvania, for demonstrating their skill and character on the court."
During the classic, the Jaguars competed against top caliber AAU programs including the Smyrna Elite from MD, the Luzerne County Lightening from Wilkes-Barre, PA and the DNB Stars from the Bronx, NY. Â

The event was held at the 35,200 square foot multi-sport arena and gymnasium in the Ocean City Recreation Complex in Northside Park, Ocean City, MD.Â
"I am very proud of our young men for their hard work and dedication," said Jaguars Head Coach Tom Blomstrom. Â "It is an honor to compete with great regional programs."

The team was led in the tourney by forward Justin Adedinsewo with 41 points and 48 rebounds.  Shooting guard Jason Smiley chipped in 23 points and center James Begg scored 18 points and pulled down 28 rebounds.Â
The Jaguars team practices at a facility in Perkiomen Township and has players from Pottsgrove, Pottstown, Spring-Ford and Perkiomen Valley School Districts.
