Limerick IDA Donates to Charity

Five charities will benefit from fees collected by the Industrial Development Authority.

Members of Limerick Township's Industrial Development Authority presented donations totaling $10,000 to five local non-profit organization on Tuesday evening. 

The Industrial Development Authority, which began in 2006, exists to help with employment and business development within the township.

"We help builders get loans at lower interest rates than most banks," chairman Joseph St. Pedro said.

For their help, the IDA collects fees, and then donates those fees back to non-profits in the local area. 

This year's recipients are Laurel House, the Royersford Area Community Chest, RSVP, Project Outreach and the Montgomery County Foundation.
