'Little Shop of Horrors' Comes to Life on the Spring-Ford Stage

The dark comedy musical will run two nights, Friday and Saturday

The Spring-Ford High School Theater has been working on 'Little Shop of Horrors' for months, and the show is set to finally premiere on Friday night with a second show on Saturday. 

Patch attended the open dress rehearsal on Thursday and took these photos of the performance. 

The cast was fantastic together. Spring-Ford definitely has some incredibly talented voices in the theater program. Senior Drew Carr and freshman Kailey Edwards were great as nerdy Seymour and fragile Audrey, Mario Dolenti was a wonderfully grumpy Mr. Mushnick and Anthony Barbine had dentist Oren Scrivello's insane giggle down pat.

Barbine also stars as the voice of the mutant plant, Audrey II, which is itself played by a series of puppets. 

If you're familiar with the 1986 film version, you might be surprised by the ending of the stage musical version. However, Patch is not going to spoil it for you - you'll have to go see the show!

"Little Shop of Horrors" runs Friday and Saturday at 7 p.m. at the Spring-Ford High School Auditorium. Tickets are $10 for adults, $8 for children and senior citizens.
