National Night Out Coming Back to Royersford in 2013

JR Bach, an organizer of the yearly National Night Out event in Royersford, came before Royersford Borough Council on Tuesday night to formally request permission to hold the event again this year. 

Bach said this year's event is planned from Tuesday night, August 6, from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. 

The event will once again be held on Washington Avenue, but this year it's being extended to the 400 block, in addition to the 300 block. 

"This year, we're working with the Royersford Church of the Nazarene. We also need more space because we're getting bigger," Bach said. 

Washington Avenue will be closed from about 2:30 p.m. that day (so set-up can begin early) until just after the event ends at 8:30 p.m.

Council voted to approve the request.
