Schwenksville Man Gets 8 To 16 Year Sentence For Raping Teen Girl
The assaults occurred over a period of two years when the girl was just 14 and 15, according to a report.
SCHWENKSVILLE, PA — A Schwenksville man who pleaded guilty to raping a teenage girl has been sentenced to eight to 16 years behind bars, according to court documents.
Jose Rivera, 50, was convicted on charges on rape, involuntary deviate sexual intercourse with a child, unlawful contact with a minor, and related counts.
The incidents occurred in 2016 and 2017, when the girl was just 14 years old, according to a report in the Pottstown Mercury.

It began with kissing before escalating to a variety of sexual acts, the report states.
Rivera was reported to police by his wife after she found out about one of the assaults.

Rivera must also register as a sex offender after he is released from prison.
