The team received a citation from the Pennsylvania House of Representatives on Wednesday.

Members of the Spring-Ford Area High School girls basketball team are still basking in the glory of their historic state title win two weeks ago.

On Wedensday, at the invitation of Pennsylvania State Representatives Mike Vereb (R-150), Tim Hennessey (R-26) and Mark Painter (D-146), the team traveled to Harrisburg to be recognized on the House floor.

Seniors Sammi Haas, Courtney Hinnant, Kirsten Landis, Brittany Moore and Sarah Payonk were joined on the House dais by coach Jeff Rinehimer, athletic director Mickey McDaniel and superintendent Dr. David Goodin.
