SWAT Team, CMERT Respond to Barricaded Subject in Limerick
A 40-year-old man reportedly surrendered after pouring gasoline in his residence and threatening to harm himself.

Emergency response vehicles responded to a home near Faust Lane and Fruitville Road in Limerick Township for the report that a man poured gasoline in his house and threatened to harm himself on Sunday afternoon.
Limerick police, fire agencies, the Ches-Mont Emergency Response Team (CMERT), and an armored SWAT vehicle were on the scene before the man came out peacefully around 3:20 p.m., according to the Pottstown Mercury.
The incident was reported before 11 a.m., according to the Montgomery County Department of Public Safety.

The barricaded subject was a 40-year-old male “mental health consumer,” according to the Limerick Township Police.
