Trappe Fire Co CPR Class Grads Use Their Skills

Two graduates of the Jan 2019 Community CPR Class at Trappe Fire Co put their skills to the test shortly after certification.

Trappe Fire Companies Training Team holds monthly Community CPR Classes at the Trappe Fire Station at 20 W. 5th Avenue in Trappe Borough. Shortly after the January 2018 class, two of the newly certified community members had a chance to put their skills into action during two separate incidents. Both of these incidents happened in public places, and the newly CPR certified community members were able to quickly respond and assess the patients, and then using their newly acquired training, were able to intervene and provide care and treatments while awaiting the Paramedics arrival. Both of these recently CPR certified community members stated that they were thankful for the their newly acquired CPR Training, and for being able to attend the class, which gave them the confidence and skills to make a difference in the community.

It was reported that both of the patients have been released from the hospital. For more information on Trappe Fire Co Community CPR classes, please reach out to Trappe's Training Director Dave Sauls at dsauls@trappefire.org or follow on Twitter @TrappeMedic324

The next Community CPR Class is on Saturday February 23rd, 9am at Trappe Fire Station
