Vehicular Homicide Charges Filed in Royersford Jogger Death
The teenage driver faces multiple charges stemming from a fatal accident on Lewis Road on March 4.

18-year-old Justin Jackson of Pottstown was charged today with homicide by vehicle in the death of Merinda Thompson on March 4.

Court records show that, in addition to homicide by vehicle, Jackson has been charged with driving under the influence of a controlled substance, unsworn falsification to police, reckless endangerment, possession of marijuana, driving on the left side of the road, texting while driving, reckless driving and careless driving.Â
The accident occurred in the afternoon of March 4 on Lewis Road between Benner Road and Country Club Road. Thompson was struck and killed as she was jogging along Lewis Road. Â

Charges were filed today in Magisterial District Judge Walter Gadzicki's court.Â
