Wendy's Closed for Remodeling

Several readers noticed the Royersford Wendy's appears to be under construction.

After several readers mentioned on the Limerick Patch Facebook page today that the Royersford Wendy's appeared to be gutted, your editor went to take a look. 

Construction crews have apparently been busy, because the front facade is torn off, and there are no windows. Interior work is also going on.

According to Facebook commenter Kimberly Gehr, they are "upgrading to the new Wendy's look."

Wendy's website touts its company-wide rebranding initiative, saying it "embraces [a] contemporary look." 

Newly remodeled restaurants, Wendy's says, will "feature bold, sleek, ultra-modern designs that greatly enhance the customer experience. Features include lounge seating with fireplaces, flat-screen TVs, Wi-Fi and digital menuboards."

Wendy's expects to remodel 50 percent of the company's restaurants by 2015, according to their website. 

The attached PDF shows the changes in the packaging and the uniforms, and has photographs of what a remodeled Wendy's might look like.

There was no answer, nor was there voicemail, at the store phone number, so Patch wasn't able to contact anyone to ask how long the restaurant will be closed.
