When and how did your business get started?
My parents started the business in the early 70's. Mom retired in a couple years leaving me to operate the store with 3 young boys at home. Somehow we managed with my youngest only 6 months old! How many people can say they LOVE their job? I can! It's so much fun to see people creating their finished pieces and having fun!

Why did you choose the town you did to open your business?
My parents bought the property in the 60s and turned the farmhouse into 4 apartments. The barn either needed to be refurbished or torn. My mom decided she wanted a ceramic shop, so the building became her store.

What is your business best known for?
A LOT of people still make ceramic trees and in the early 80s we made pumpkins with names in the mouth....for the past 10 years we are doing them again! This time I print the smile on the computer with the name and the students trace and cut their own pumpkin. Now we are putting names on alot of things.......snowmen, easter eggs, bunnies. I've just ordered a penguin mold and a turkey that you can carve the name on the belly.

What's something interesting about your business your customers might not know?
We offer 6 classes per week! The students work on anything they want and we assist them to finish their project. The classroom is alot of fun and it's a safe haven to hang out.

Does your business offer a special deals card or program?
We run many specials during the year - on greenware, paints, brushes and supplies.
